Additional STA2200 CCDs have been added to the WIYN ODI focal plane to make a “half gigapixel” camera. The 5×6 array can be seen in the photo below after installation of the detectors.

ITL produced the back illuminated STA2200 Orthogonal Transfer CCDs for the WIYN One Degree Imager project. Engineering verification was completed by the WIYN team on September 17.
